What a live station needs

A live station means food finished or cooked in front of guests, with someone there doing it. That is a genuinely different operation from a delivery, and it is worth being straight about the limits: some food types work as a live station and some do not, and we do some directly and some through partnering vendors.

Four things decide whether it can happen at all, and none of them are about the food. Is there a power point where the station will stand. Is there space, and a route to get the equipment in and back out. Does the venue permit on-site cooking — malls, offices and function venues frequently do not, or require approval first. And how long does it need to run, because a person is on site for the duration.

So the useful first message is the venue and the timings rather than the menu. Tell us where it is, how long it runs and roughly what you have in mind, and a specialist comes back with what is actually possible there — including saying so if it is not.

  • Some food types, not all

Some direct, some through partnering vendors.

  • Power and space decide it

More often than the menu does.

  • Check venue permission

Malls and offices often restrict on-site cooking.

  • Quoted per order

Priced by time as well as headcount.

What it costs and when to order

What a live station needs

Confirm these before the date is fixed — they decide whether it is possible at all.

Power
Most on-site setups need a dedicated power point near where the cart or station stands. Tell us what is available — it is the commonest reason a setup cannot go ahead.
Space and access
A footprint for the equipment, and a route to get it in. Lift access matters more here than on a delivery, because equipment goes in and back out.
Venue permission
Malls, offices and function venues often require approval for on-site cooking or carts. Worth confirming with the venue before the date is fixed.
How long it runs
On-site service is priced by time as well as headcount, because a person is there for the duration. Tell us the start and end.

Before you order

How ordering works

  • Book early for popular dates

Our cutoff is one day before your event. In practice, order earlier: festive periods, year-end parties and weekend slots fill up well ahead, and booking early secures both your slot and the dishes you want.

  • Mini buffet and bento delivery $30

Drop and go: food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag. Free on promotional menus above $225.

  • Buffet delivery and setup $90

One fee covers delivery, a full setup with a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returning to collect the equipment after your event.

  • Changes up to 24 hours before

Adjust your headcount, menu or timing more than 24 hours before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.

Additional charges may apply for outlying areas (Tengah, Lim Chu Kang, Tuas, Sentosa, Changi Airport and Alps Avenue), deliveries before 10am or after 7.30pm, and venues without lift access. Every charge is confirmed in your quotation before you pay. See full terms.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you do live station catering in Singapore?

For some food types, yes — some directly and some through our partnering vendors. It is not a blanket yes, because not every dish works cooked in front of guests. Tell us the venue, the timings and what you have in mind and we will come back with what is actually possible.

What does a live station need at the venue?

A power point where the station stands, space for the equipment and a route to get it in and out, and the venue's permission for on-site cooking — malls, offices and function venues often restrict it. Those three decide it more often than the menu does.

How much does a live station cost?

It is quoted per order rather than priced from a rate card, because it sits outside the standard menu structure and is priced by time as well as headcount — a person is on site for the duration.

How do I get a price?

Send the date, the headcount, the venue and how long you need it running, either through the planner or on WhatsApp. A specialist comes back with options and prices, usually the same working day.

How much notice do you need?

One day, subject to vendor availability on your date. Most catering in Singapore asks for three to five working days. Same-day orders are not something we can promise in advance, but we do try to make them happen. Message us with the date, the headcount and where it is going, and a specialist will check what is open and come back to you either way.

Can it be halal?

Halal options are available. Halal menus come from Muslim-owned stalls, and halal-certified options are available through our partnering vendors on request. Tell us when you enquire if the certificate is needed on file.

How far in advance should I order catering?

The latest we can take an order is one day before your event. We recommend booking earlier than that: popular dates such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Christmas and the year-end party season are taken weeks ahead, and ordering early secures your slot and the dishes you want. For large events, the earlier the better.

Is there a delivery fee?

Delivery is free on mini buffet and bento orders of $225 or more before GST. Below that it is $30, and a 10 pax order always carries the fee whatever the order comes to. On the entry-level mini buffet menus $225 is reached at 15 pax. A buffet with setup instead carries a $90 setup fee, charged once per order, which covers delivery, laying out the buffet line and collecting the equipment afterwards. Remote postal codes, deliveries at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later, and venues without lift access can add a surcharge on top; every one is published and appears in your quotation before you confirm.

What is included with the food?

Mini buffet orders are drop and go: the food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a disposable table cloth and a trash bag, so you can bag everything up and bin it after your event. Bento meals come individually boxed with cutlery. Buffet with setup includes a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returns to collect the equipment.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, with more than 24 hours' notice before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.
