What the setup actually buys you
A buffet with setup is the format people picture when they say "Christmas buffet": a dressed table, chafing stands keeping everything hot across a long evening, serving utensils laid out, and somebody other than you responsible for making it look right. It starts at 30 pax and carries a $90 setup fee on top of the per-pax rate, with $30 delivery.
The practical difference from a mini buffet is time. A mini buffet arrives in warmer bags that hold temperature well for a couple of hours — fine for a lunch, less so for a party where people drift in across an evening and keep going back. If your Christmas event runs long, the chafing stands are the reason to choose this format.
The trade-off is that the equipment has to be collected afterwards, so someone needs to be there at the end, and the venue needs room for a buffet table.

The Christmas menu
The Christmas menu comes in 4 levels, built with our partnering vendors. Each level is a complete spread — the higher the level, the more dishes and the more premium the mains.
It can be ordered on any date from 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Over that period the Festive menus replace the regular buffet menus, which return on 4 January 2027.

Add a $90 setup fee per order, charged once whatever the headcount, covering delivery, laying out the buffet line and collecting the equipment afterwards. Minimum order sizes on the $15, $20 and $25 menus are higher over the festive period than they are year round. The Festive Chinese and Malay menus also run at $15 and $45 per pax; ask and we will send those.
- Festive period
- 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. During this period the Festive menus replace the regular buffet menus, and the regular menus return on 4 January 2027.
- Delivery and setup
- No delivery fee. A $90 setup fee per order, charged once whatever the headcount.
- Bento
- Not available from 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Mini buffet and buffet with setup both run throughout, and bento returns on 4 January 2027.
- Order cutoff
- One day's notice, subject to vendor availability on your date. December dates start going in from early November, and the last two weeks of the month are effectively first-come. Four to six weeks ahead is normal.
- Changing your order
- Headcount and menu changes up to 24 hours before delivery.
- Dish changes
- Dishes can be swapped on any Festive menu, including the Chinese and Malay ones. Some swaps carry a small top-up per pax, shown when you order; on the $45 menus every swap is free.
- Halal
- Halal Festive menus are available from Muslim-owned stalls, certified on request, at the same prices.
- Surcharges
- $30 for delivery at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later. $15 for postal codes 71, 63, 09, 50 and 49. $50–$100 per level where there is no lift access.
Add-ons, ordered on top of any Christmas menu in any quantity, with the same one day's notice: Enchanted Forest Chocolate Log Cake, 900g — $58 each; Festive Roasted Whole Turkey, about 4kg — $198 each; Sliced Honey Baked Ham (halal turkey ham), 20 slices — $38 per pack; Traditional Maryland Crab Imperial in Scallop Shell, 10 pieces — $38 per box. What the space needs
A buffet line needs a table or two and clear access to get the equipment in. Office lobbies, function rooms, condo clubhouses and restaurants all work.
Venues without lift access carry $50 to $100 per level, usually waived if we can hand over at ground level. Deliveries arriving at 9.59am or earlier, or 7.31pm or later, carry a flat $30 — worth knowing for an evening Christmas party.
How ordering works
Book early — December sells out
Our cutoff is one day before your event, but December does not work like the rest of the year. Vendor kitchens have a fixed number of orders a day and every office is holding its party in the same fortnight, so the date going in early is what decides which menus are still open to you.
Festive mini buffet delivery $45
A flat fee per order from 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, at every headcount — the year-round free-delivery threshold does not apply over the festive period. Food arrives in insulated warmer bags that are yours to keep, with serving gear, cutlery, plates, bowls, a table cloth and a trash bag.
Buffet delivery and setup $90
Unchanged over the festive period. One fee covers delivery, a full setup with a skirted table and cloth, warmers, serving gear, disposable plates, cutlery and napkins, and our team returning to collect the equipment afterwards. Minimum order sizes on the $15, $20 and $25 menus are higher than they are year round.
Mini buffet and buffet only
Individually packed bento is not available 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 — our partnering vendors run the Festive menus as a shared spread over that period. Bento returns on 4 January 2027.
Changes up to 24 hours before
Adjust your headcount, menu or timing more than 24 hours before your event, subject to availability. Within 24 hours the food and manpower are already committed, so changes and cancellations are normally not accepted and a fee of 50% to 100% of the order may apply.

What is the minimum for a Christmas buffet with setup?
30 pax. That is the lowest headcount any buffet-with-setup menu accepts. For a smaller Christmas gathering, a mini buffet starts at 10 pax and arrives ready to serve.
Is the setup fee on top of the per-pax price?
Yes. The buffet setup fee is $90, charged once per order regardless of headcount, and delivery is included on every buffet tier.
How long does the food stay hot?
Chafing stands hold serving temperature across an evening, which is the main reason to choose this format over a mini buffet for a Christmas party. A mini buffet in insulated bags is comfortable for a couple of hours.
Do you collect the equipment?
Yes. Chafing stands and serving equipment are collected after the event, so someone should be there at the end to hand them over. If you would rather have nothing to return at all, a mini buffet is entirely disposable.
How much does Christmas buffet catering cost?

Can a Christmas buffet catering be halal?
Yes. Halal menus come from Muslim-owned stalls, and halal-certified menus are available through our partnering vendors on request. Select halal in the menu planner and only halal menus are shown to you.
What if my headcount changes closer to the date?
Changes are fine with at least 24 hours' notice. Over a festive period, tell us as early as you can — vendors are working at capacity, and a late increase is much harder to absorb in December than it would be in March.
Is there a delivery fee over the festive period?
From 1 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 a mini buffet carries a flat $45 delivery fee per order, at every headcount — the year-round free-delivery threshold does not apply over the festive period. A buffet with setup carries the usual $90 setup fee and no delivery fee. Remote postal codes, deliveries at 9.59am or earlier or 7.31pm or later, and venues without lift access can add a surcharge on top; every one is published and appears in your quotation before you confirm. The year-round rules return on 4 January 2027.
