About the Dish Designer
Inspired by his mother who runs his family’s bakery business back in India, Raj had an ambition of being a chef from a young age. From his humble beginnings as a trainee in Singapore, to working as a chef at French restaurants, he moved his way up to a head chef position at an Italian restaurant. He’s been cooking for 13 years now, and his career has even brought him to New York City where he worked for Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. The meals that Raj serves reflect both his career and his personal approach to food, which are contrasting and versatile.
